Capitol Reef National Park Overview

Located in south-central Utah in the heart of red rock country, Capitol Reef National Park is a hidden treasure filled with cliffs, canyons, domes, and bridges in the Waterpocket Fold, a geologic monocline (a wrinkle on the earth) extending almost 100 miles.

Entrance Fees

Capitol Reef Entrance Fee - Bicycle and Pedestrian - $10
The entrance fee for Capitol Reef National Park is paid into a self-serve tube at the beginning of the Scenic Drive, just past the campground. America the Beautiful Interagency passes cover this entrance fee.
Entrance - Per Person - $10
Admits one individual with no car. Typically used for bicyclists and pedestrians.
Commercial Entrance - Per Person - $10
Guided activities are charged the per person fee of $10.00 per client, excluding the trip leader or guide. If a client has an America the Beautiful pass (annual, senior, access, etc.) it covers 4 people in the group.
Capitol Reef Entrance fee - Motorcycle - $15
The entrance fee for Capitol Reef National Park is paid into a self-serve tube at the beginning of the Scenic Drive, just past the campground. The cost includes all on a single motorcycle. America the Beautiful Interagency passes cover this entrance fee.
Entrance - Motorcycle - $15
Admits one private, non-commercial motorcycle and its riders.
Capitol Reef Entrance fee - Private Vehicle - $20
The entrance fee for Capitol Reef National Park is paid into a self-serve tube at the beginning of the Scenic Drive, just past the campground. The cost includes all in a private vehicle. America the Beautiful Interagency passes cover this entrance fee.
Entrance - Private Vehicle - $20
An entrance fee is charged per vehicle.
Capitol Reef Entrance Fee - Commercial vehicles with a seating capacity of 1-6 seats - $30
Buses and commercial vehicles are based on vehicle size/occupants. This fee can be paid at the visitor center.
Commercial Entrance - Sedan - $30
This fee is based on the seating capacity of the vehicle. A Commercial Use Authorization permit may be required.
Capitol Reef Annual Pass - $35
This pass covers the entrance fees to Capitol Reef National Park of the pass holder and occupants of a single, private non-commercial vehicle. It is valid for 365 days from the date of purchase. For information about other passes available see https://www.nps.gov/care/planyourvisit/fees.htm.
Annual Entrance - Park - $35
Admits one private, non-commercial vehicle or motorcycle and all its occupants or riders.
Capitol Reef Entrance Fee - Commercial vehicles with a seating capacity of 7-25 seats - $40
Buses and commercial vehicles are based on vehicle size/occupants. This fee can be paid at the visitor center.
Commercial Entrance - Van - $40
This fee is based on the seating capacity of the vehicle. A Commerical Use Authorization permit may be required.
Commercial Entrance - Mini-bus - $40
This fee is based on the seating capacity of the vehicle. A Commerical Use Authorization permit may be required.
Capitol Reef Entrance Fee - Commercial vehicles with a seating capacity of 26 seats or greater - $100
Buses and commercial vehicles are based on vehicle size/occupants. This fee can be paid at the visitor center.
Commercial Entrance - Motor Coach - $100
This fee is based on the seating capacity of the vehicle. A Commerical Use Authorization permit may be required.
