  • U.S. Poet Laureate Ada Limón to host nationwide art project during visit to Saguaro National Park

    Seven national parks, including Saguaro National Park, were selected by Limón to be part of her signature project “You are Here: Poetry in Parks.” The initiative is a partnership between the National Park Service, Library of Congress, and the Poetry Society of America that features site-specific poetry installations in the parks.

  • Upcoming Road Closures in Saguaro National Park’s East District

    Saguaro National Park will temporarily close three roads in the park’s east district for maintenance and regrading. The one-way section of Cactus Forest Loop Drive will be closed October 16. Mica View Road and Camino Loma Alta will be closed October 14-22.

    Saguaro National Park will temporarily close the west side Red Hills Visitor Center (2700 N Kinney Road) from Monday, July 8th through Wednesday, July 17th to replace the carpet.

  • Park visitors asked to take extra precautions in light of possible rabies cases at Saguaro National Park

    Reports of deceased animals and strange wildlife behavior has Saguaro National Park concerned that rabies may be a possible cause. The park urges visitors who have physical contact with an animal to notify park staff and seek medical attention immediately.

  • Saguaro National Park to Repair and Improve Signal Hill Picnic Area

    Saguaro National Park will commence work to repair and improve the Signal Hill Picnic Area in the park's (west) Tucson Mountain District. Work is expected to begin Monday, November 6, 2023, and is scheduled to be completed by March 13th, 2024. Park staff are planning for partial closures of the Signal Hill parking and picnic area during the next four months. Signal Hill itself will remain open to public access with limited access
