    Petrified Forest National Park has been working with Hubbell Trading Post National Historic Site to translocate Gunnison’s Prairie Dogs (Cynomys gunnisoni) from a location where they are in conflict with humans to another location where they can thrive and support their ecosystem.

In 1924, Herbert Lore registered his newly constructed business with the Land Office, fulfilling his duties under the Homesteading Act of 1862. Today this charming building is on the National Register of Historic Places and is a National Historic Landmark. On June 21, 22, and 23, there will be treats and activities offered at the inn.
